What Mark Will You Leave?

I had the opportunity to attend an event hosted by Givology and the M. Night Shyamalan Foundation last Friday in New York City. The Jubilee Project partnered with Givology, an organization that sponsors underprivileged students in developing countries, to make a video for their “Make a Mark” campaign.

I first heard of Givology when I met their founder, Joyce, in Spain earlier this year at the Ford Focus Global Test Drive event. A little known fact is that the first video we ever made was a Ford Focus commercial that was done in 45 minutes using only a Flip camera and iMovie software. It’s not our most sophisticated work, but I’m glad they enjoyed it enough to want to work with us again.

It’s really cool to see how much Givology has grown. They’re entirely run by volunteers made up of hard working students and young professionals. They’ve been featured in New York Times columnist Nick Kristof’s book, Half the Sky. And now they’re working directly with M. Night Shyamalan and his foundation to make an even bigger impact.
