A New Phase

My girlfriend has just moved to Boston. Never in our 28 months of dating have we ever felt like a “normal couple” living in the same city. We started long distance and for the first time, we will no longer be separated by the Chinatown bus.

This now means we can see each other whenever we want. Do things together. Have the same circle of friends. And share our lives together in a deeper and more connected way. It’s strange because for the past 2 years or so, whenever we saw each other, time was precious so we tried to spend most of the time exclusively together. Now, time is still precious but there is a greater sense of wanting to grow outwardly and be better servants to the people around us.

In the past we grew closer as we grew separately. Today, we will grow closer as we grow together.
